Scry App Reviews

Could have been better...

This is only a poor view of the basics, by categories, and the ability of saving your favorite page of rules in a list "bookmarks"... The only search option you got is the usual one on Iphone. In fact, you can access at subcategory in a few category like spells. This app does not worth the expensive price.

Everything but the fighting

The interface for this is, as the description indicates, far more user-friendly than other similar apps. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was the lack of combat rules. Maybe in an update?

Love it!

It is a quick and easy way to locate those rules that are hidden in the rule books.

Not satisfied !

Not complete, not practical, not worth the price.

Woah.

Very simply, the best app Ive ever gotten. Especially if you play 3.5 GET IT.

Incredible.

I havent played D&D, but I thought it would be cool to have this anyway. Now that Ive looked through it, I might have to get the gang back together to play. This reference app is awesome and a huge bargin. The monster reference alone (with pics of almost every creature) is well worth the price.

Great app

This app is awesome. I have missed playing and miss it even more now that i have this. Such a good help and a lot less to have in front of you if running a game. An addition of a pop up dice roller would make it a DM dream. Also would like some pics of the races and classes, not just the monsters but still A+++++++

Amazing

The greatest( and damn cheap) dnd app around. If you added a loot generator, this app would be better, but it is hands down the best dnd app in the store! Please also add conditions, and maybe even core rules, so we could make a 3.5 character on paper. Also, if you like this app ( no, Im not advertising) get dnd scribe, its a 3.5 character sheet for the iphone/ipod If you can add the whole players handbook and dms guide in time, this would be the best app ever

Deserves a Medal

this app is awesome, the only thing I would add is a table for getting treasure in 3.5 with mundane and magic items

Ask and ye shall receive!

Thanks for the update! This app is going to be so much more useful now. Great Job. Now I am going to be a little greedy. Is there any way to add a feature to manually add entries that are not in the app (i.e. spells, equipment, etc from other books)? If not, no big deal. I just wanted to put that out there. Still an awesome app.

Almost perfect

I love every thing about this app. I wish there was a way to filter other than a search field. I would like a filter for the monsters. Lets say your looking for a type of monster, it would be nice to just be able to type in the filter undead or incorporeal. Also, when I try to look at the picture of a monster it takes at least a minuet to load, and was wondering if it was just me or can a patch fix it.

Not bad

The layout is great and easy to navigate but the lack of material is too much. Theres hardly anything outside of the core books. No variants, complete books, spell compendium...

Really needs a search field...

So I choose this app over the other iPad compatible one because it had 5 stars, however, I believe it should only have three, due to the fact that the app doesnt have a search field look for information right away. Using this app is like using the book, but without the convenience of having the book. Dont get me wrong, it is a nice, stable app, but without some search function, I spend just as much time flicking through lists as I do flipping through pages in a book. The only reason I would want to use a digital version of the rules is to be able to search them quickly. Again, this is a great app and would be a 5 Star one too, if it had a search (Mainly because it is the only one with pictures on the app store). I hope a future update adds this search feature (if it is even possible). Then Ill happily give it a 5 Star!

Disappointed

I had troubles with the app at first but once it was pointed out to me the blue arrows are how you pare down to the class specific spells it became a lot more viable of an app. It could still have a better search feature though. The search screen disappears as you scroll down, call it nit picking but when I skip to M to find mace and it isnt list, I dont want to have to scroll forever to find the search box.

Highly recommended

This is just the app Ive been looking for. Despite the fact that my group gets together once a week, I dont own any handbooks - this app provides almost all of the information I need, at a fraction of the cost of material rulebooks. Id love the ability to add in custom pages for reference, but this is still an amzing app without it. I strongly recommend it for anyone running 3.5e.

Love it!

This app saves tons of time on looking up game rules, choosing new spells, etc. This is a must-have for 3.5 gamers: Sometimes I dont even bring my Players Handbook anymore. :) Works great on both iPhone and iPad (I frequently use it on both). The UI is excellent, far above any other SRD app available. My only complaint: I really wish I could sort by subtype in other places (such as only epic feats, or only animal monsters). The implementation on spells is perfect, I wish something similar was done with other data types. Or, the text filter could search against the sub-title and/or the the text content as well as the title. Keep up the great work!

Great!

I have been using this app for a while and it works great! There are only two thing I would improve upon: when you create folders in folders for bookmarks, the app consistently crashes when backing out of the folders. And also, update with the complete books! Those are essential to the campaign I am a part of and it is a real hassle toy switch from iPad to book back to iPad. Beyond that, the app is perfect and I love it! Thanks! And keep up the great work!

Give me my money back!!! 

At first i had no idea what this was, so I downloaded it when it said it was free to try it out. Today, I got a email saying i owed 2.19. IT SAID FREE!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!

Great but glitchy

Ive created a new folder for bookmarked spells (under the broader bookmark folder) and it works fine until I want to back out of a bookmarked spell and return to the previous folder level. Should be a very easy thing, and I need to do it frequently, but every time I do, it crashes and pops me back to the apps screen. I like your app, but that makes it hard to use. Please fix.

Almost perfect

Im hoping the designers read these comment. If you do, please add the spell lists. It is the one thing this program is lacking and it is one of the most important things if you are playing a spellcaster. Please add them otherwise I have to find and bookmark 40+ spells
